Here's a great deal on the Sandisk 64GB SDXC media going on today. This makes it even cheaper than what Transcend has to offer. Definitely a good buy for those who need the 64GB space or SDXC file format. (click here to compare some prices on SDXC via B&H).

Remember that all the new cameras are starting to move towards the SDXC format including the new 5D Mark III, and it's way cheaper than getting compact flash media (as seen here). SDXC is backwards compatible so it will work on your cameras and portable recorders that are using 'SDHC' today.

The same 64GB in Compact Flash will run you a minimum of $140 dollars +, and with SDXC it will run you just under $49 bucks (today), which is almost three times cheaper. I've been successfully using SDHC and SDXC media in my 5D Mark III for several hours of video, so I highly recommend investing in SDHC or SDXC if your cameras can take it.

Oddly, I looked at this item yesterday and it was out of stock. I guess they just re-listed the inventory this morning so it gives you another chance to grab a few. [Thanks Cameron] Best deal online that I could find currently, and with all these point and shoot cameras and GoPros that i've accumulated, I needed to stock up. Other sizes are also on discount from 4GB, 8GB, and 32GB, but not priced as nicely as the 16GB right now. Some people swear by shooting only cards that are 8GB in capacity Max. I shoot with 32GB cards, call me a Danger Seeker. Some people shoot only Sandisk media. I personally shoot with the Transcend Class 10 or 400x Media Cards.

Regardless of anyone's rhyme or reason you can grab a Sandisk 8GB SDHC Class 10 for an awesome price over at B&H much cheaper than elsewhere. As for the Transcend 8GB Class 10 (which isn't as fast, but fast enough for video) you can find those running under $12 dollars. Links below.

Just picked up three more 32GB Transcend Class 10 SDHC cards. Too many cameras, not enough cards to go around especially with the new Sony A55 and Panasonic GH2 i've been playing with. I've been pretty very happy with my other Transcends, so i'm going to continue shooting with them. I think it's still the best deal for reliable SDHC cards. I did notice that the stickers have changed from the previous Class 10 cards. Wonder if that makes them even better....

Well i'm sold on the Transcend 400x cards I just received last week. I purchased (4) 32GB cards with next day air because I knew I would need the space. I was only supposed to test these out, but this was a lifesaver, as I ran super low on available disk space and fell back onto these for all three days. They all performed without a hiccup, fast and reliable. I shot, dumped, formatted, shot dumped formatted, shot dumped formatted all three different days and they all still performed without a problem.

Another piece of gear that performed pefectly was that Z96 Dimmable DSLR LED Video light. I'm still getting quite a bit of questions about it on each event. It's still so new I guess and not many people are seeing these in use. There was a photographer on site trying to get a decent shot of a beautiful wedding cake, but the flash wasn't really giving the best look with the dark ambient. With two LED light panels positioned high on each side, the photographer was able to shoot with a decent ISO giving a more natural look to the cake. Another good example of using these Z96 LED Video lights over flash, especially since these high end DSLR's do much better with ISO noise. You couple that with the new Noise Reduction filters on Lightroom 3 and you've got a better natural image than that of with flash. One set of Sanyo Eneloop Rechargeable batteries in these Z96's are all it takes for a full day of shooting.

If you cruise on down to the article post http://cheesycam.com/sandisk-extreme-rebates/, you'll catch some comments about the Transcend 32GB 400x Compact flash cards. After a wedding this past weekend shooting three cameras, I realized I needed a bit more space. I was originally going to order the Sandisk Extremes since there was an ongoing Mail In Rebate, but the prices on these Transcends were much better (without Mail In Rebate).

It took a bit of convincing through the comments section, but you guys have me convinced to work with these. I also checked out reviews over at BHPHOTOVIDEO.com and it's almost a full 5 star rating. We price matched against NewEgg, Amazon, and it turns out that BHPHOTOVIDEO.com came out with the cheapest price for these Transcend 32GB 400x Compact Flash cards. My order is in with Next Day Air, i'll test it this weekend to see how they perform. Really though, I feel quite confident after all the comments and reviews i've been reading and recieving.

I'm opening up the lines here people. For some reason i'm not a fan of the name Transcend, but I really can't remember why. I must have had some really bad painful past experience that i'm mentally blocking out. I've seen these cards in several T2i's when talking to random people at some social gatherings, and well they all had good things to say.

I'm checking out the prices now which seem to be about the same on eBay or Amazon if you coun't the shipping Amazon charges. With 2,483 customer reviews averaging practically 5 stars, am I missing something? Has Transcend turn the tides into making better products? Comment people, the DSLR world want's to know...

[Update] Looks like the first few comments all say the Transcend is reliable and fast. You know how it works on this blog, once I write an article, prices will start going up. Grab it while it's cheap.
