Thanks to Joel from HDSLRNOW for adding the P&C Swiss Rod as one of his video quick tips. With it's industry standard threading, you can see how Joel attached the Swiss Rod directly to his rig without any additional modification, and immediately opened up several new mounting options for accessories. The Swiss Rod is also a standard 15mm rail, so it can be attached using a variety of straight clamps, or 90 degree rig clamps. If Joel had added the rail to a clamp instead of in-line, you can see how All of his accessories would be on a Quick Release system by just un-clamping the rod. Great review. So many product reviews fail to give adequate closeups of the item (or when they do, the shots are underexposed). I can really see the swiss rod and now have a better idea of how I can use it.

I wish there was a 12-inch version and some kind of aesthetic cover for the male end. It looks odd when paired with a normal rod.

I think you can come up with a Swiss Cage based on this rod and definitely kill the un-standard Gini-Rig for good.
With some small modifications/ extension couplers, you can transform 4 Swiss Rod to a Cage I believe.
Or make a slightly thicker and bigger rod (Swiss Rod that is!) that can be used as parts of the Swiss Cage.
Just a suggestion as I found this as a really ingenious invention so far from you guys!
