A video I shot several weeks ago, but decided not to post (the product wasn't announced yet). Now that it's been shown at PDN New York, here's a look at this unit with a Canon 5D Mark II + Battery Grip + Rode VideoMic Pro (showing access to audio ports). Keep in mind that this was possibly the very very first prototype released from the factory.
Shown in this video is a very very early mockup, and not completely relevant to the product being sold today. Software and build quality have been changed since. I still have not seen the final version, but supposedly it had great response at the PDN Show this past week. I hope to see a final version of the product once it's available online at https://www.SwiviUSA.com, which is said to be in two weeks. Post author@Dave - Haven't tried it, but I don't see why not. The mini HDMI cable is a bit short on the Swivi though and is located on the left side (facing back) of the camera.

Hi. Will this unit fit onto and work with a Panasonic GH2?
Giulio Sciorio
@Emm Thats what I thought. Thanks.

Post author@Giulio Sciorio - It swivels and doesn't require special rods or hardware to mount. That's about it.

Whats the point of this LCD? It looks limited in function compared to a normal screen which has many more options to mount.
Am I missing something?

Man looks great an amazing price but I just don't know if it would be worth getting one for a T2I since it doesn't output HD while recording and focusing probably wouldn't be possible with it.

Just got a price from them. It's going to run 330 and they are giving free shipping.

Man this is super cool! I hope SmallHD makes something cool like this for thier monitors (like an add on piece). Having a monitor off to the side would be great.

Me wants me wants me wants!
I hope they made it a bit stronger on the final project it looks a bit flimsy but Im still going to order.

It seems it takes about 2 seconds from non-recording to recording status, right?
How good is the color rendering compared to the camera LCD screen and real subjects?
And how long does the unit work with one LP-E6?
Thanks!
