Rokinon is offering up some major discounts on their new XEEN Cinema Prime lenses. (I myself already have a set and sold off a bunch of my expensive Canon L lenses). These lenses have had a lot of press and lots of interest with an amazing $2495 price tag - almost half the cost of other Cine Primes.
But In order to entice more 'early adopters', Rokinon has slashed -$300 OFF retail price (Now Just $2195 Each) for a limited time right now. These deals end officially on September 24th, 2015. I've seen a lot of people contemplating the purchase, and maybe this offer could finally set them in motion.

i used to have their plastic cine line, but i noticed breathing was pretty dramatic and got rid of them. the xeen 24mm seems better but still more than the cp.2s from Dan Chung's vid. I guess still they sound like a good bang for your buck which is what ive always known Rokinon for.

Post author@Derek McCabe - Yeah not too much online (yet), but a few guys have used them. We're still working on the footage that we shot in LA last week. Here's one: httpss://vimeo.com/135852481.

Post author@Martin - The Milvus line looks good, but it's not clear about the focus throw compared to the XEEN. It's supposed to be longer, but not quite sure how long. The Veydra seems ok if you don't shoot with many different camera bodies as they can't be adapted as easily as a Full Frame lens. Remember that even with the Sony A7s you can add a metabones speedbooster in APS-C mode + Full Frame lens to gain an extra stop and reduce rolling shutter.

Wow, these is great pricing, I am thinking of buying the full set. Does anyone have links to show high quality actual footage with these lenses?
Martin
What are your thoughts on the lenses? I have the Sigma Art line but don't like its short focus throw, so my options for my A7s are Veydra Cine Primes in Aps-c mode, the Xeen Cine Primes, or getting the new Milvus lenses in F mount (even though they focus in the opposite direction, sigh..)

Yes, that's the same thing I see. This is also on their facebook page. It brings the cost of 3 lenses down to $5985! When the cost of a canon cine is around $4500 for 1... that's quite a bargain.

Just to add, I believe on Rokinon's page, they are stating that it is $300 instant rebate off each lens, OR $1500 off if you buy all 3 in a set. Good to know!
