Here's an interesting new 24mm F/3.5 Tilt-Shift lens from Samyang. This is the first tilt shift i've seen from the company even when branded under Rokinon, Bower, and sometimes Vivitar. There's not much information on the new lens just yet, and it's too rich for my blood, but it's already available and listing for just under $1K. Check out the product page via B&H (click here).

...and what does this mean for pricing on their rumored 50mm/1.2? :/

Agreed, I'd look at this in the $500-700 range. Though their 24mm is priced at $750(cine) and $600, so I guess they feel tilting and shifting is worth at least $300 (I don't agree) but I guess it depends on how much sharper this 24mm is to their last one; which wasn't very sharp at all. Bottom line, is it better than a used $700 Canon TS-E 24mm/3.5L Mark I?

Looks promising. I just don't know how I feel about paying 1k for a Samyang. If the price drops I might buy it.

Price might change when it goes on sale 🙂
