And just as I was talking about my GoPro HERO4 on a gimbal, the REMOVU R1 Live View Monitor is on sale (ends in a few hours). This little Live View Remote can power your GoPro ON/OFF and stream video similar to the App.
Unfortunately it doesn't appear you can change GoPro settings from the REMOVU (framerates, resolution) and the REMOVU live view doesn't stream any faster than the GoPro App to your SmartPhone. But with it's compact size it beats trying to mount your smartphone, and it's also Water and Impact Resistant (not waterproof) which your Smartphone most likely is not.
So if you've ever looked at your GoPro LCD BacPac and wondered how you could strap it to your wrist instead (I know I have), this is the accessory for you. Now just $74.99 and Sale ENDS TODAY (click here).
I have the Removu R1 paired to 3 GoPro's (a Hero3+ silver, Hero3+ black, and a Hero4 black), and while you can't control more than one camera at a time, switching between them is extremely trivial. Much easier that the GoPro app itself. Only takes a few seconds navigating Removu's menus to accomplish the task. It's a must have gadget for any GoPro enthusiast.
i assume its a technical thing but it appears it's only one at a time. much like the iphone app, you'll have to keep switching networks. wish there was something on the market like this that could switch on the fly to a different gopro, this would be much more useful to me
how many cameras can be connected to one remote?
That was crazy I was in the market for one this week but thought I'd wait till their other version came out. Then I saw this sale and figured for the price at a $40 savings I had to pick it up.
How long does it take to cycle through to another camera? Battery life?
Whats the normal non-sale price on these Emm?
