Here's an unboxing video of the brand new Carry Speed VF-4 LCD View Finder. This new LCD View Finder was announced a short time back, but has not been officially on sale (just yet). The redesign improves on many little details of the previous Carry Speed VF-3 View Finder (found here).
While the Carry Speed VF-4 is currently not on sale (at time of this writing), here's your chance to get one exclusively from Cheesycam. As part of a promotion to introduce the new product, I'm sponsoring a Give Away that selects one random person to receive a brand new Carry Speed VF-4. To register for a chance to be one of the first to receive a VF-4, just the follow the link to the sweepstakes page (click here).

actually, it might be worth mentioning that as the baseplate is Arca Swiss compatible, buying one of these is the cheapest option:

Post author@jonas - You can grab a baseplate that has side to side adjustments. If you search out there, there's quite a few of them. Here's one I know httpss://cheesycam.com/gh3-battery-grip-offset-adjustable-15mm-baseplate/

Hey Emm,
I've run in to the same issue as LaFilm and looking at the CS website it doesn't seem like that optional baseplate ever happened. Do you know of a way around the offset issue to use the VF-4 on a rig?
Kelly
Damn! I knew i shoulda waited for this. I have the older version for my t2i and it kinda cuts off the outside viewing area. A tad annoying when trying to see that red dot in the upper right corner.

Any chance CarrySpeed will make a loupe for the C100s LCD...? Zacuto wants 365$ dollars for its version, there should be some room to compete here...

The one thing that is an issue with this viewfinder that does not look like it has been addressed is light leakage on the sides from where the viewfinder meets the LCD. No matter what you do there will always be this space so light can leak in from the sides. They need to change the hard rubber that they use for a softer material so when you push it against the LCD you get a nice sealed connection. If you have any ideas on how to fix this please let me know. Thanks
Emm
Post author@LaFilm - I'm hoping there will be a new optional baseplate that will address that.

The Base Plate slide forward and back. Any news on the alignment issue for mounting it on rails? The VF-3 had an offset and it looks like the VF-4 does as well.
