Post author@Scott - It's a little more in price, but the VideoMic Pro is much smaller and still offers +20db gain which works wonders.

Rode videomic is just too huge and clunky for my purposes. Always looking for something more stealthy and compact.

Post author@Scott - It could be a great sounding microphone, but for the prices i've seen it selling for you could pickup a Rode VideoMic for a few dollars more. I think this is going to make it a tough market to step into.

Hi Emm,
Seems like a number of people have just intro articles on this mic but no one has any sort of performance test or comparison. Also, the video on their site of the orchestra is obviously stereo and this is a mono mic... Starting to wonder if this is shenanigans with this thing... Are they trying to make initial sales before anyone reviews it and talks about it's real world performance...? Starting to wonder since it seems in theory to be a great alternative to the insanely priced VMP...
Come to think of it I haven't seen a lot about the new Shure mics either...
Would love to hear your take on it.
Thanks,
Scott

@Emm - Are you doing any comparison tests with this mic? I can't find any other info on this mic.

Post author@Lainol - This is the first one open to Europe I believe. Keep checking the details for availability.
